A record number of high school seniors from vocational schools with tourism and hospitality programs across Croatia took part in the third edition of the Raise the Bar Youth program. The program aims to enhance students’ knowledge and skills, helping them build successful careers in sectors crucial to the development of Croatian tourism.
During the first semester of this school year, 1,576 students from 41 schools diligently studied about communication skills, the importance of teamwork, fundamentals of business planning and financial management, and have gained valuable insights into starting their own businesses. In addition to a record number of participants, the program's value was further confirmed by the students themselves, who gave it an excellent rating of 4.7.
Additional motivation for participation was the competitive part of the program, in which 26 schools competed by completing all five modules and their corresponding quizzes. This year, Obrtnička škola Požega achieved the best results and won a €5,000 prize for purchasing equipment or materials to support teaching. Ekonomska i turistička škola Daruvar secured second place and a €3,000 prize, while Turističko-ugostiteljska i prehrambena škola Bjelovar took third place, winning €2,000.
Students from these three schools participated in the program in the highest numbers and achieved the best quiz results. As an additional reward, Coca-Cola HBC Adria will organize masterclass lectures at their schools.
All details regarding the donation process and lecture arrangements will be coordinated directly with the schools.
We would like to thank all participants for recognizing the value of our program and congratulate the students on their outstanding achievements. The Raise the Bar Youth program will continue next school year, empowering new generations to tackle future business challenges.
Congratulations!
"According to the Rules and Conditions of Participation in the Raise the Bar competition, the number of students was calculated as the percentage of students in each school who completed all five modules relative to the total number of senior students from that school eligible to participate in the program. The data was sourced from the e-Rudnik database of the Ministry of Science, Education, and Youth.
