We have completed the second edition of the Raise the Bar Youth educational program intended to improve the skills and competences of juniors and senior students and adjust them to the requirements of employers in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
During the first semester of this academic year, 1,286 students from 47 schools learned about communication and teamwork, business planning, the essentials of starting a private business and financial management and gained insights into the latest hospitality trends and techniques. The participants gave the program an excellent rating of 4.5, whereas its content received a high rating of 4.6.
The prize-awarding part of the program involved 28 competing schools whose students have completed all five modules and the associated quizzes. This year, the Čakovec Economics & Trade School achieved the best results, and its students earned a cash prize of 5000 euros. The Požega School of Crafts was the runner-up this year, winning a prize of 3000 euros, whereas the third-ranked Daruvar Economics & Tourism School won a prize of 2000 euros.
These three schools accounted for most of the participants, their students achieved the best quiz results and, in addition to the cash prizes, Coca-Cola HBC Croatia will arrange masterclasses for them.
This year, such a masterclass was also earned by the Bjelovar Tourism, Hospitality & Food School, which accounted for most students who have completed all five modules and came in fourth in the quizzes.
All details regarding the presentation of these donations and delivery of the lectures will be arranged directly with the schools.
We congratulate all students and schools for their extraordinary success in this second edition of the program. We are looking forward to future editions of Raise the Bar Youth and our joint accomplishments!
*According to the Terms and Conditions of Participating in the Raise the Bar Prize Contest, the number of students refers to the share of students who have completed all five modules in each school in the total number of eligible junior/senior students in that school and the e-mine database maintained by the Ministry of Science and Education was used for the purpose of calculating this number.
