A formal handover of a 5000 euros donation and a masterclass took place at the Čakovec Economics & Trade School, which won the prize-awarding part of the Raise the Bar Youth educational program, implemented for the second year in a row by Coca-Cola HBC Adria. The students of Class 4 HT of the Čakovec Economics & Trade School have completed all five program modules and achieved the best results in the quizzes, whereby they deserved this valuable prize. Anja Čvrk Jakopić, a Tourism & Marketing teacher, led them through the program.
Aleksandra Todorović, Customer and Community Partnership Manager at Coca-Cola HBC Adria, presented the award to Bosiljka Vinković-Kukolić, the school’s principal, and underlined:
– It is a great pleasure to celebrate this happy moment with you and congratulate you for winning this donation and master class. Over 2300 young people who will build or are already building their careers in the hospitality and tourism sectors participated in the first two editions of Raise the Bar Youth. We are proud of the fact that the second edition of the program included even more students and allowed the students of the Čakovec Economics & Trade School to adopt knowledge and skills to help them find their place in the labor market by learning from experts and top professionals.
In addition to the cash donation, the students had an opportunity to attend a masterclass. Dominik Bečvardi, co-owner of the Peaches & Cream Bar in Zagreb and the Principal Lecturer at the Raise the Bar Academy, and Branimir Suk, owner of the SUK Craft Business for Laughter, Learning and Creativity, spoke to them about the importance of communication and teamwork.
- On behalf of all our students and employees, I would like to thank Coca-Cola HBC Adria for this accolade and for allowing our students to obtain further knowledge and skills via their Raise the Bar Youth program. I am particularly proud of the fact that our students once again demonstrated a notable level of knowledge and for being number one this year amongst 28 rivals. I do trust their efforts and results will inspire future generations who will be joining this educational program. – said Bosiljka Vinković-Kukolić, Principal of the Čakovec Economics & Trade School.
The second edition of the program involved 1286 students from 47 schools offering hospitality and tourism programs across Croatia. They learned about communication, teamwork, financial literacy, business planning and self-employment, with 28 schools competing in the prize-awarding part of the program. As the runner-up, the Požega School of Crafts won a prize of 3000 euros, whereas the third-ranked Daruvar Economics & Tourism School received 2000 euros. Each of the top three performers won a masterclass in addition to the cash prize, and one was also awarded to the Bjelovar Tourism, Hospitality & Food School.
