During the first semester, 33 secondary schools offering hospitality and tourism programs across Croatia implemented Raise the Bar Youth, a program designed to improve skills and knowledge among junior and senior secondary school students and adjust them to the requirements of employers in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
Thanks to this educational program launched by Coca-Cola HBC Adria, over 1200 students learned about communication and teamwork, about the latest techniques and trends in the hospitality industry, about business planning, and how to start a private business and master the essentials of finance.
The program includes a prize contest involving 25 secondary schools whose students have completed all five Raise the Bar Youth modules. The Požega School of Crafts, including its remote unit in Pleternica, won the contest, followed by the Čakovec Economics & Trade School as the runner-up and Požega Economics School in the third place. These three schools accounted for most of the students participating in the program*, who achieved the best results in the quizzes to be completed after finishing each of the five modules.
The winning school will receive a prize worth 6500 euros to be used to purchase teaching equipment and materials, as well as a masterclass. Each of the second and third ranked schools also won a masterclass.
All details concerning the presentation of the donation and delivery of the masterclasses will be arranged directly with the schools.
We congratulate the winning schools and thank everybody who took part in the contest and the entire Raise the Bar Youth program!
