Coca-Cola HBC Croatia Raises Minimum Gross Salary to €1,200

Coca-Cola HBC Croatia has signed an amendment to its collective agreement with trade unions, further improving employee compensation and benefits. Following the June pay raise, which focused on production workers and field sales representatives, the company is continuing with salary increases across a broader part of the organization.

As of October, Coca-Cola HBC Croatia is increasing base gross salaries for 295 out of just over 500 employees.

“As an employer, we have decided to abolish the lowest pay grade, thereby raising the minimum gross salary to €1,200 - which is 20% higher than the market minimum wage. This ensures that every one of our employees, including those in the lowest pay bracket, receives competitive compensation that reflects our commitment to their wellbeing. We are particularly proud that the actual minimum salary within the company is even higher than the newly agreed minimum, amounting to €1,400 gross. We will continue to work closely with our union representatives to identify needs early on and, through open dialogue, find the best solutions for the benefit of our company and the satisfaction of our employees,” said Dimitris Rompis, General Manager of Coca-Cola HBC Croatia.

As part of its three-year pay and rewards strategy, Coca-Cola HBC Croatia has already increased meal allowances and the vacation bonus paid in June. The company also plans to raise its Christmas and Easter bonuses.

The amendment to the collective agreement was signed by union representatives Sanda Marelić from PPDIV and Serđo Popović from the Republic Trade Union of Workers. “We are continuing our positive cooperation with the employer, to the mutual satisfaction and benefit of all employees,” said Sanda Marelić. “This agreement shows that when unions and employers work together, they can ensure better working conditions, employee security, and further company growth,” added Serđo Popović.

Coca-Cola HBC Croatia hopes that these improvements will help attract new talent, especially in production, where a generational shift is expected as some employees approach retirement age.

“We aim to attract skilled workers from the Zagreb region to join our production team, where they can learn from experienced colleagues and build their careers with us. We hope they will recognize Coca-Cola HBC Croatia as an excellent employer,” concluded Dimitris Rompis.
