Coca‑Cola Hellenic has been included for the 4th year in a row, and midst ever stronger competition, in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) World and the DJSI Europe.
Coca‑Cola Hellenic is one of 3 beverage companies to be included in the DJSI World index (along with PepsiCo and Diageo) and one of 2 beverage companies included in DJSI Europe (along with Diageo). Coca‑Cola Hellenic is the only Greek company to be included and the only Coke bottler which has found its place with the elite in the area of sustainability.
In the beverage industry, CCH received top scores in Customer Relationship Mgmt (99%), Health&Nutrition (84%), Environmental Policy/Management systems (100%), Environmental Reporting (97%), Packaging (100%), Corporate Citizenship (76%), Labour practice (88%) , social reporting (93%) and Talent attraction/retention (66%).
The overall score went up from 72% (in 2010.) to 77%. That being this year's threshold, the company leadership is well aware of the fact that in the next twelve months the company will have to show progress on some topics in order for it to be included in Dow Jones indexes next year as well.
Over 2500 companies worldwide have been assessed this year, and the average score was 55%. When it comes to broader scoring dimensions, Coca‑Cola Hellenic reached a 71% score (the average was 53%) in economic dimension, 90% in environmental dimension (the average was 48%) and 75% in social dimension (the average was 49%). The scores reached in environmental and social dimension were this year’s maximum scores in these two dimensions.
