With its Sustainability Report for 2007 and 2008, which has received the highest mark so far in Croatia, Coca‑Cola HBC Croatia is marking its tenth anniversary of promoting social responsibility.
Zagreb, September 9, 2009 – On the occasion of European Mobility Week and in cooperation with the Bicycle Association, Coca‑Cola HBC Croatia General Manager Nikolaos Kalaitzidakis presented employees at the company’s Zagreb headquarters today with the first ten Bistra bicycles for free usage. Employees will be able to use the bicycles to get to work or recreationally in their free time.
Zagreb, July 4, 2009 – In cooperation with the Volunteers’ Center in Zagreb, approximately twenty Coca‑Cola volunteers partook in the renovation of parts of the exterior façade of the Maksimir Home for the Elderly and Feeble in Zagreb’s Maksimir neighbourhood.
Višnjan, July 2009 – Thirty high school students from all over Croatia took part in the 4th “Bistra Researchers 2009” educational camp which was held at the Scientific Educational Center Višnjan in July. Gifted high school students once again had the opportunity to spend their summer vacation expanding their knowledge and discovering the unbelievable world of natural sciences.
Ilok, 29 June, 2009 - Danube Day was marked in Ilok this year. Under motto “Danube River: Joint Waters – Joint Responsibility” a diverse program was held that should also mark the 15th anniversary of the signing of a convention in Sofia in 1994 to protect this river.
Sisak, June 13, 2009 – Within the framework of the “Our Beautiful Sava” project, Sisak was the host of the Sava Fair today, where traditional customs, trades and crafts related to the Sava River and Sisak as well as traditional folk songs from the Sisak region were presented.
Zagreb, June 6, 2009 - On the embankment of the Sava River in Zagreb, a fair was held within the framework of the project “Our Beautiful Sava” with the aim to encourage as many people as possible to start returning to life along the river, as is the case with residents of European cities. The fair is only one of the activities within the project that will be carried out in four Croatian cities on the Sava River – Zagreb, Sisak, Slavonski Brod and Županja - throughout the month of June.
Zagreb, June 2, 2009 – Journalists and members of kayak associations and organisations in Zagreb, Sisak and Slavonski Brod organised a symbolic promotional canoe and kayak ride in all three cities exactly at noon to mark Sava River Day on June 1 and to point to the river’s unused and forgotten potential.
Zagreb, May 29, 2009 – A month-long program to mark Sava River Day, which will be carried out in four Croatian cities on the Sava River – Zagreb, Sisak, Slavonski Brod and Županja – in June, was introduced in Zagreb today. The organisers of the program are the International Commission for the Sava River Basin, the Ministry of Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management as well as Coca‑Cola HBC Croatia.
