Coca‑Cola HBC Croatia donates 200 promotional films to The Sisak Tourism Board and the City of Sisak.

By introducing a film about last year’s Our Beautiful Sava project, with a particular emphasis on the Sava Fair in Sisak, representatives of the City of Sisak and Coca‑Cola HBC Croatia announced the new edition of this social responsibility project at a press conference at the Stari grad restaurant.

The Sava Fair will be held on Saturday, June 18, within the framework of the traditional folklore festival June Meetings, and apart from fish stew by Croatian champion Ivan Kirin, fair visitors will also be welcomed by autochthonous dishes and beverages and precious old trades, crafts and handicrafts from the Sava region.

The press conference was attended by Tomislav Dovranić, the head of the Department of Information, Public Relations and the Rights of National Minorities at the City of Sisak, Davorka Obradović, the curator of the Sisak City Museum, the president of the folklore ensemble Ivan Goran Kovačić and organiser of the June Meetings Ivica Posavec, and Igor Ćutuk, Public Relations Supervisor at Coca‑Cola HBC Croatia.
“We are pleased that we have the opportunity to raise awareness of the protection and importance of the Sava River with our own example and by collaborating with institutions on all levels, and that the residents of the Sava region have also recognised the significance of this comprehensive project. The Sisak City Administration and the Tourism Board of the city of Sisak have proven themselves as praiseworthy and reliable partners throughout our collaboration, and on this occasion we would like to thank them once again and to present them with 200 promotional films about the project”, said Igor Ćutuk, Public Relations Supervisor at Coca‑Cola HBC Croatia.

“Our wish is to show the people of Sisak the beauty of our national customs, crafts and handicrafts and to preserve the cultural heritage from being forgotten. That’s why we are proud to be part of the Our Beautiful Sava project, which we already recognised last year as a welcome way to promote local entrepreneurship and the touristic development of our region. We are particularly happy about the fact that the Sava Fair will be held within the framework of the June Meetings inside the Old City walls, and we would like to invite all dear guests to come to Sisak on June 18. We also want to thank Coca‑Cola HBC Croatia for this initiative which we are happy to join”, pointed out Tomislav Dovranić from the Department of Information, Public Relations and the Rights of National Minorities at the City of Sisak.

The project was jointly initiated by the Ministry of Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management, the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, the International Sava River Basin Commission, the Croatian Chamber of Economy and Coca‑Cola HBC Croatia. The main organiser of the Sava Fair in Sisak, i. e. the Sisak Tourism Board, the City of Sisak and the Sisak City Museum, joined this national project in 2010. The joint goal of everyone involved is to promote awareness of the importance to protect Croatian waters and water resources and to promote eco tourism and tourism content on sustainability bases. The program of this year’s Our Beautiful Sava project began with the Sava Fair in Zagreb on June 3-5, it was continued with a Sava Fair in Županja on June 11, and after the Sava Fair in Sisak the final will take place in Slavonski Brod on July 1.
